Digital Media and Design Major
The major is comprised of a common core
of courses and two tracks of specialization. Students majoring in Digital
Media and Design will add the courses from their choice of specialization
to the core courses. The details are as follows:
Core Courses
All digital media majors will complete the following courses:
Interactive Design Track (DMDI)
Student pursuing the Interactive Design track will complete a set of core courses for the major as well as the following additional courses (12 credits):
(Note: students pursuing the Interactive Design track must complete MTH-161 Discrete Mathematics as their core mathematics course.)
Graphic Design Track
Students pursuing the Media Design track will complete a set of core courses for the major as well as the following additional courses (14 credits):
- ART 361 Typography (2 credits)
- ART 362 Logos and Symbols (2 credits)
- ART 450 Graphic Design III (2 credits)
- ART 452 Portfolio Review (2 credits)
- ART 470 Digital Media and Design Internship(3 credits)
- CSC 135 Web Site Design (3 credits)
